Each year, Afropedia offers scholarships to students in need of additional financial support. If you're located in WA, review the requirements to see if you qualify. We list both Afropedia and partner scholarships, so check back regularly for updates. Mentors or sponsors interested in donating can contact us directly via email: hello@myafropedia.com.

Fall 2025 Afropedia Scholarship

Eligibility


• WA resident enrolled full‑time at a 2‑ or 4‑year college/university.
• 3.0+ GPA or demonstrated non‑academic impact.
• Willing to join at least one Afropedia mentorship or community activity during the award year.

How to Apply


1. Complete the online application form.

2. Upload: Essay (300–500 words), resume and the proof of enrollment (unofficial transcript/class schedule).

3. Submit before the deadline.

  • Expected Amount: $1,000
    Applications open: December 10, 2025
    Deadline: January 10, 2026

    Eligibility (Preview):
    • Washington-based college students (2- or 4-year) and recent grads (≤ 12 months)
    • 3.0+ GPA or demonstrated non-academic impact
    • Willing to participate in at least one Afropedia mentorship or community activity
